In Progress

We are in the process of revamping ACS help documentation. Currently, only some help is available online. If you can't find what you need, click Help > Contents in the Windows® version of ACS.

On this page, you can view help for the modules of ACS Financial Suite. Here's an overview of these modules and how they are related.

The General Ledger module is designed to provide financial record keeping and report functions based on the needs of non-profit organizations. The module provides for all regular accounts and restricted funds that are neither income nor expense to the church, but have been designated for a specific use. It meets all Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and adheres to the accounting and reporting standards as set forth by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB).

When you receive purchase orders, you can create an invoice in the Accounts Payable module from the purchase order. The Purchase Orders module does not post to the General Ledger, but you can include encumbered amounts in General Ledger reports.

The Accounts Receivable module tracks customer information, prints invoices and statements, and automatically posts to the General Ledger on either a cash or an accrual basis. The Accounts Receivable module is most often used for a church day care, Mother’s Day Out program, or school.

Although the Contributions module is a part of ACS People Suite, it interfaces with the General Ledger and posts to it.
