If you're new to background checks in HeadMaster, you must sign up for a Verified First account.

Your church only needs one Verified First account- every staff member who requests or reviews background checks use this account.

To sign up for a Verified First account

  1. Log into HeadMaster as an administrator.
  2. On the Home screen, click Other PeopleParentsStaff, or Teachers.
  3. Double-click an individual’s record.
  4. On the Safeguard tab, click Request Background Check.
  5. Complete and submit the online agreement for service to Verified First.

Verified First will contact you to review it and process the agreement, and they will send you an email update when finished.

After Verified First processes your agreement, you can request background checks.
