A preferred name is the name that an individual wants to be called. For example, a student named Alexander, may like to be called Alex instead. You can edit the name that a student, parent, teacher, staff, prospective, or other prefers to be called.

 To change a preferred name
  1. On the Home screen, click one of the following individual icons: Students, Parents, Teachers, Staff, Prospective Students, or Other People.
  2. Double-click the individual’s record.
  3. Click the General tab.
  4. Change the Preferred Name.
  5. Click OK.
