Our partner, Vanco Payment Solutions, offers a feature called Give By Text. People can use this to give money to your parishes through texting.

How does it work?

Vanco gives each parish a dedicated phone number that people can text any dollar amount to. The money is deposited into the parish's bank account in 2 to 4 business days. Text donations show up in the PDS online import and reports.

What happens when someone texts a donation?

The first time someone texts an amount to a parish's number, they receive a web link. They complete a one-time setup page, and confirm their donation.

Once it's processed, they get a thank you text with options to set up recurring donations. Next time they give by text, it processes automatically using the payment information they provided.

How will parishes use it?

Once a parish has Give By Text, they can let members know about text giving in a newsletter, in the Sunday bulletin, or
on the screen before mass.

Parishes can also set up keywords for specific funds or pledges, such as an Easter offering. Parishes create the keyword
"Easter" through their Vanco account, then people can give to that fund by texting "$50 Easter" to the parish's number.

Who can give?

Anyone who has the parish's number can donate money. They don't have to be members. If they can text, they can give.
