We recommend using either a PostScript® (PS) or Printer Control Language™ (PCL) printer for all your OnDemand printing needs. OnDemand provides Universal PCL and PS Print Drivers from HP, Ricoh, Xerox, Konica‐Minolta and Adobe for your printing convenience.
OnDemand uses Adobe® Acrobat Reader, which communicates with printers using PostScript printing language. PostScript is not handled well by older printers and causes margins to be skewed when printing Adobe documents on a non‐PostScript printer. This can be problematic when printing W‐2 forms or labels which require the text placement to be in specific places.
When printing from OnDemand, you can preview the item as a PDF first as long as Adobe Acrobat Reader is installed on your workstation.
This is helpful when printing mailing labels because you can further customize your printing options so that the labels are correctly aligned on the page. If you print contributions statements or other reports where alignment is key, we recommend printing a test statement as well.
