In addition to being able to create standard articles, Extend also lets you create slide shows you can display on your Web site.

Slide shows are like billboards on your website. They can be used to highlight upcoming events or promote church community through compelling photography. A slide show displays, one after another, a selection of your images.

Some Home Page Examples

(tick) Holy Apostles School likes to showcase their school, students, and activities.

(tick) Oak Ridge Church promotes different upcoming events, sermon topics, and announcements.

(tick) Congaree Baptist shares important dates and events that are happening at their church.

Slides may contain images with artwork, text, and buttons that inform visitors about new announcements or events that are coming up. Many churches update their slide shows bi-weekly or monthly. If a church isn't able to create or update new graphics for the slide show they can hire subscribe to our Webmastering Service. Slide shows my vary in size depending on the website.  To create a slide show
  1. Log in to your site as an administrator.
  2. Point to Site and click Channel Manager.
  3. Double-click the page you want to edit.
  4. Locate the row where you want to place the slide show and click New.
     
  5. Click Slide Show.
  6. Add new  or existing  images from the Media Manager.
  7. Click Save.

Depending on how you use slide shows, you’ll need to decide how often you should update or make edits. For example, you wouldn’t want to leave pictures of an Easter Egg Hunt on your website when people are preparing for Christmas.

 To edit a slide show
  1. Select the  Layout Manager  icon to edit the home page.
  2. Hover your cursor over the Pencil above Slide Show
  3. Select Edit Slide Show from the drop-down menu.

On the Edit Slide Show Screen

  • To add a new image from your computer, select .
  • To add images from the Media Manager, select .
  • To insert a hyperlink to a page inside your website, select .
  • To remove the slide from the rotation, select .

Other Options:

  • To add a new slide, select Add Slide.
  • To move and order slides, click and drag a slide .
  • You can add your own Titles and Descriptions – this is optional.
  • When you are done editing the slide show – click Save.
  • For the best results, size the slides or images in the slide show the same.
