Access ACS locks accounts after five unsuccessful login attempts. The lock is automatically removed after five minutes from the time it is locked.
A lock symbol displays beside the name of the account that is locked. The symbol displays until after the first time a user logs in after the account has been unlocked.
A system administrator can remove the lock at any time in the hour the account is locked.
To unlock a user account
- Point to Admin, then click Security. The Users page displays.
- Click the user name that you want to unlock.
- Click Account Locked (Click to Unlock).
The account is now successfully unlocked, and the Locked icon does not display. When you return to the user grid, the lock is removed from the account.
